NEWTON — The College for Working Adults at Sussex County Community College (SCCC) is currently accepting registration for the fall semester. This program is intended for adults managing work and family responsibilities who want to earn an associate’s degree in business administration in two and a half years. The program offers accelerated 10-week blocks of instruction rather than the traditional 15 weeks. Each block involves nine to 10 credits of study, both online and in the classroom and is offered three times every year. Adult students take three courses in the fall, three courses in early spring and three more courses in late spring and will have one course that meets every Friday night on campus and another course that meets every other Saturday morning supplemented by online instruction. The third course is taught completely online. A SCCC counselor will advise students in the program on academic and transfer issues. Tutoring and additional support services are available online or in person. There is a tuition payment plan available which offers a four- or five-month installment plan and is interest free. There is a $35 enrollment fee for this plan. Some credits for courses previously taken at SCCC or another accredited college or university may be substituted for required courses in the program.
