College offers audio course at Mix-O-Lydian Studios

Lafayette — Mix-O-Lydian Studios in Lafayette will be the setting for a new course this fall offered through Sussex County Community College. The course, Special Topics in Communication: Audio Production/Technology, will be taught by Don Sternecker, owner of Mix-O-Lydian, and will meet on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. to 9:40 p.m. Sternecker said that many people are trying to record music at home and he would like students to learn the basics to become better recorders. As part of the course, students will learn how to use microphones, how to mix with live sound and how to use portable equipment.
