VERNON - The Vernon Township Council has scheduled two "outreach" meetings for citizens who cannot attend regularly scheduled council meetings. At the two meetings, citizens can speak with council members about any concerns or issues they feel the council should be aware of. Both meetings are from 10 a.m. to noon. The first is this Saturday, May 22, at the Highland Lakes Country Clubhouse. The second will be on June 12 at the Vernon Municipal Center. Two council members will be at each meeting. The Council encourages any Vernon resident who has a question or concern to attend either meeting. The meetings will be informal and coffee will be served.
