County's United Way teams up with Macy's

    Newton — United Way of Sussex County is hosting the Macy’s Shop for a Cause program to enhance the 60 Days campaign, which is raising funds for Sussex County programs and charity organizations. “The Macy’s program is a win/win for everyone,” said Mary Emilius, director of the local United Way. “Anyone can purchase a shopping pass for $5 through United Way and United Way keeps 100 percent of the shopping pass proceeds. Pass holders redeem their passes at any Macy’s store or online at macys.com on Oct. 17 to receive any single item 25 percent coupon, 20 percent off most men’s, women’s, kids and accessories merchandise and 10 percent of most home items. United Way of Sussex County is currently promoting the annual local fundraising campaign with a 60 Days to make a difference theme. The campaign started on Sept. 17 and will end Nov. 20. Funds raised in the Campaign are distributed throughout Sussex County to local charity organizations that have experienced dramatic increases in need this past year.
