Cubs win trophies

Cub scouts from Vernon’s Pack 283 took part in their annual Pinewood Derby race. Although all the cars were fast and built with enthusiasm and pride, three Scouts walked away with trophies for the fastest times. The placing Cubs are all second year Wolf Scouts. From left, Adam Driscoll, third place; Philip LeRoy, second place and Zachary Koch, first place, for a speed of 221.1 mph.
