Dawn Inglis responds

I would like to clear up a few things about the Franklin Fire Department pool incident. On my way to picking up my child, I observed the fire truck at a fire hydrant obtaining water on Corkhill Road closest to the town garage. On my return the same fire truck was filling a pool. This was not pond water as described earlier — it was water from the hydrant. We are told year after year that we can not use the pond due to the bacteria levels. Why would someone want to put bacteria laden pond water in their swimming pool? As for me “screaming” — yes I yelled to the gentlemen at the pool so they could hear me over the noise of the fire truck. I asked jokingly “when can I get my pool filled?” when they turned around I yelled again — “Did the town council approve this?” Getting no response but laughter I left to report the incident to the police. Sorry you were all caught! And now everyone is trying to put a different spin on it. Yes it is my perception and many others in this town that this is wrong. Can’t it just be admitted and move on? Makes one wonder what else is covered up. I have received numerous e-mails and phone calls thanking me for filing the report bringing this incident to the attention of our town. Dawn Inglis Franklin
