Design students place second at ‘Design Derby'

NEWTON — Two teams of graphic design students represented Sussex County Community College at Seton Hall University recently at a “Design Derby” sponsored by the New Jersey Art Director’s Club. One of the two teams placed second place out of 18 teams. They are: Alex Cabral, Derek Connor, Robert Parella, Sharon Sondermeyer and Nicole Velez. Members of the second team were Michael Alfaro, David McCarrick, Anthony Morrello, William Truran and Vincent Van Zile. The two-hour competition tested students’ ability to design an “e-newsletter” for a client who participated in judging of the event.
