Dogs who serve

Second-graders at the Clifton E. Lawrence School have been reading about service dogs and were recently treated to visits by two service dogs and their owners. Debbie Brodhecker and her puppy, Linda, came and explained the Love on a Leash program for dogs that are in training to be Seeing Eye dogs. The following day Officer William Gebhar of the Vernon Police Department came with his search and rescue puppy, Amber, who demonstrated how a dog finds a missing person.
