Endorsing Rinker and Shortway

We have lived in Vernon for more than 25 years and have been involved on many levels with the town. We believe that the people currently sitting on the Town Council are honest and have only the best interest of Vernon at heart. Vernon however has great challenges ahead. This November we will be replacing three of our five council members. We encourage you to support Sally Rinker and Harry Shortway. These candidates have been involved here in Vernon, have experience with the town and its residents. We believe these candidates are hard-working successful people that Vernon would be lucky to have in a position of leadership. Although Ms. Rinker is running as an Independent she clearly had the support of the people in the primary, falling nine votes short of a spot on the Republican ticket. Sally brings a depth of business experience and a cumulative knowledge of the town, its strengths and weaknesses as well as a proven track record of business success within the township. We believe that Vernon needs experienced, pro-active people on the Council who can achieve successful outcomes. We can only hope others within the Town have the same beliefs.
