Goshen, N.Y. — On Oct. 24 at 7 p.m., John Osborne and Larry Barrett will perform country gospel music. Osborne hails from Hunter, N.Y. In 2001, he was the recipient of the International Male Vocalist of the Year Award and the 2001 Entertainer of the Year Award in country gospel music. On Nov. 14 at 3 p.m., Sarah Lawrence College students Rebecca Seatle and Joanlie Shiah offer their original folk music in their separate performances that open for the group, Res Miranda. Formerly known as the Sarah Lawrence Gospel Choir, Res Miranda changed its name to reflect their branching out into a multi-musical experience. With gospel at its root, the group also performs ethnic songs in Swahili and Spanish. The final concert in the series features the Warwick Valley Chorale on Dec. 11 at 7 p.m.. This choir is the oldest, continuously operating community chorus in Orange County, known for its holiday concerts in Warwick and surrounding areas. Its music includes a wide variety of styles, from classical to popular, early to modern. There will be a free will offering for each of the concerts.
