Sussex — The 14-week Strengthening Families Program, Family Night Out, will be offered at the Sussex Middle School, beginning Tuesday, Feb. 23. This program for the whole family focuses on connecting family members through fun activities and games. It provides support for parents and interactive groups for children ages 5 to 11 and a new media program for teens 12 to 17-years-old. Dinner and drinks are provided. Additionally, free child-care is offered for children under 5 years old. The focus of the program is on enhancing communication skills between family members and helping family members to increase their ability to express feelings and concerns to one another. Every family struggles from time to time with these issues. This is why the program is so practical for any family. This program is open to all families in Sussex County, and will also be held in Byram. For more information or to register, call The Center for Prevention and Counseling at 973-383-4787 and ask for Patrice DuPont.
