Food Safety for Food Handlers certificate program offered by Sussex County Community College

Newton —Sussex County Community College will offer three sections of the required Food Safety for Food Handlers Certificate Program. Each individual section runs from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and costs $29. The program will be held on Sept. 17, Oct. 15, and Oct. 29. You need to attend only one of the above mentioned sections to receive your certificate. Peter Bilby, B.S., M.S., a NJ registered Environmental Health Specialist with over 30 years experience in both the public and private sectors, will conduct all three sections. Presented in conjunction with the Sussex County Division of Health and Human Services, this 3-hour course will provide attendees with the necessary skills required to safely handle consumables. Topics will include a review of hazards, personal hygiene, equipment sanitization, and pest control.
