    On Jan. 6 at approximately 2:1O a.m., the Franklin Police Department responded to a residence on Main Street for a domestic violence incident. Upon arrival, police observed that the victim had suffered a broken nose. Investigation resulted in the arrest of Franklin resident Sereca Thomas and it was determined that she had struck the victim in the face with a wooden walking cane while he was attempting to sleep. Thomas was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and lodged in the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $25,000 with no 10-percent option.
