FRANKLIN POLICE

July 27 At approximately 9:15 p.m. the Franklin Police responded to the ShopRite in Franklin for a report of a disorderly male. After an investigation Paul G. Scheibner was arrested for disorderly conduct. Scheibner was also arrested on outstanding warrants from County of Passaic. He also was found to have warrants from Hackensack, Passaic, North Haledon and Ringwood totalling $3,572. Scheibner was given a court date in Franklin and was lodged in the Passaic County Jail on the outstanding warrant from the Superior Court of New Jersey. Patrolman Nevin J. Mattessich and Sgt. Jeffrey Smith investigated. Franklin Police responded to the Franklin ShopRite for the report of a female shoplifting. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of 29-year-old Jennifer L. Niampa of Sparta after it was discovered that she had placed numerous items in her purse as well as in her baby’s diaper bag. She was subsequently charged with shoplifting and released pending a Franklin Borough Municipal Court appearance. Office Ryan Churchwell investigated with assistance from Lt. Eugene McInerney.
