From the heart

Walnut Ridge Primary School in Vernon commemorated Veteran’s Day by honoring veterans who are family members of students and staff. Approximately 40 veterans attended, including ones from World War II to the current conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. The school community demonstrated its patriotic spirit by wearing red, white and blue. Students and staff lined the hallways to show their respect as veterans, led by Christopher Hoehl, carried the flag throughout the school. A short assembly program with a performance by students followed.
