FRANKLIN — The people who may be eligible for food stamps can go to the parking lot at ShopRite in Franklin for assistance on Tuesday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. A mobile office will be set up and Sussex County social services’ staff will work from the office and assist clients in applying for food stamps and other social services. It will also provide information and referral services. Sussex County Social Services and Sussex County Senior Services have joined with the County Welfare Directors Association of New Jersey and ShopRite to partner with Essex County and the New Jersey Anti-Hunger Coalition to help eligible people receive nutrition assistance through the food stamp program. The vehicle is outfitted with a waiting room and three private offices so clients can be served in a confidential and professional manner. It is wheelchair accessible.
