Gun owners seem to be winning
There seems to be a national movement growing in the wake of the Supreme Court ruling upholding the rights of citizens to bear arms. The mood has become so relaxed, that in some states, persons will now be able to go their neighborhood bar, and unbeknownst to other patrons, be in possession of a gun concealed on their person, legally; so long as they don’t partake in any imbibing; which is why they decided to go a bar in the first place. Within those establishments, arguments and disagreements that may arise can be easily settled in one or more gunshots; from one or more different guns. Comforting thought. Think of all the criminal behavior that can be circumvented if there were no restrictions such as a waiting period. Local police departments can now feel secure in the knowledge that their local citizens may be armed and ready in their bid to lower the local crime. Today the local bar, tomorrow our streets, malls and even our schools, as to be determined by the Supreme Court, state and local courts, at a later date. Imagine the day when these concealed weapons can be carried across state lines. Criminals beware! Toby Ryan Hamburg
