Hamburg Police make warrant arrest made after vehicle stop

Hamburg — On Sunday, Jan. 25 at 9:06 p.m., a 1996 Mitsubishi Galant being driven by Joseph R. Mcavoy, 27, of West Paterson was stopped on Vernon Avenue for an inspection violation. After a roadside investigation. Mcavoy was found to have a warrant for his arrest from the Franklin Lakes Municipal Court and was arrested. He was transported to the station, where he was released after posting $215 bail. He was also issued traffic summonses for failure to inspect and improper display of license plates. Sgt. Erik Aronson investigated the incident.
