Hammond named finance chief at St. Clare's

    DENVILLE — Frederick J. Hammond, Jr. has been appointed executive vice president for finance and administration and chief financial officer for the Saint Clare’s Health System. Prior to joining Saint Clare’s, he was the senior vice president and chief financial officer at the State University of New York (SUNY) Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, N.Y. Before SUNY Downstate, Hammond spent 10 years with the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ), where he served as corporate controller, vice president of finance and treasurer, and then seven years as senior vice president for administration and finance. He also served as director of finance at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. Hammond, a certified public accountant, holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a master of business administration degree in finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
