LAFAYETTE-Participants can learn different paths to wellness during a series of healthy living workshops, 7 p.m., Tuesdays, in February, at the "Yoga For You," in Lafayette. Laura Fagan, instructor and owner of "Yoga For You," wants her studio to serve as a place to share enlightenment. "Yoga is a pathway of discovery just as these seminars will be," she said. "We are looking forward to offering alternative paths to personal growth in a friendly, relaxed atmosphere." The workshops begin Feb. 1, when Mary Reinhardt, a shamanic counselor, healer, and teacher, presents "Energy Awareness," where she will show how to use energy and breath to stop the pain signal, provide inner silence, and expand awareness of yourself and energy in your life. On Feb. 8, Nancy Coulter, a romatherapist and Holistic health consultant, will introduce ‘Aromatherapy,' offering simple, basic therapeutic oils that work toward health and peace of mind. Coulter will return, Feb. 15, with her husband, Mark Coulter, when they will offer ‘Stress Management Through Hypnosis and Emotional Freedom Techniques.' The certified hypnotists will present techniques that can have profound positive effects on the body, and mind, and help manage emotions more effectively. An "Intro to Tai Chi," Feb. 22, will be presented by James and Loretta Donnelly, of Internal Gardens. Students will be given basic education in the history, philosophy, and principles of the ancient art, learning form and experiencing its power for themselves. Each class is $20. Reservations are required. For information, call 224-1619; or visit lpfagan@earthlink.net
