FRANKFORD TOWNSHIP — The Six Centuries Club will present a public reading of the U.S. Constitution tonight, Sept. 17, at 6:30 p.m. at the Sussex County Main Library, Route 655 in Frankford Township. The Constitution was approved by all 12 state delegations present in convention on Sept. 17, 1787, with 39 of 42 delegates present signing it. “Whether you fall into the far left, far right or somewhere in between, virtually every American can agree on the importance and value of the U.S. Constitution and the rights it helped codify into law,” and David Messineo, who will read the document tonight. “As we currently debate serious issues that will publicly impact America years into the future, this is a good time to hear the original words that started us out, along with the 27 Amendments that shaped us as we grew and evolved as ‘the People.’”
