Here comes the Oscar Mayer WiEnermobile

The giant hot dog rolled into ShopRite in Franklin and was greeted with wide eyes and smiles as “hotdoggers” parked the 27-foot weenie with ease. Shoppers who sang the Oscar Mayer jingle became the owners of an official weenie whistle. The ketchup and mustard-colored motor vehicle has been a popular attraction for decades and hard to miss. Its official tour included four ShopRite supermarkets in Newton, Franklin, Byram and Succasunna. Choruses of “Oh I wish I was an Oscar Mayer weiner...” could be heard all over.
