Highlands State Bank names Gerald Lake senior vice president
VERNON Highlands State Bank, a local community bank located in Vernon’s town center, has named Gerald R. Lake, of Oak Ridge, as a Senior Vice President. The announcement was made by George E. Irwin, President and CEO of the bank. Lake will be responsible for developing a profitable commercial loan portfolio at Highlands State Bank, with a focus on serving local businesses. Prior to joining Highlands State Bank, Lake served as a Vice President and Senior Loan Officer at Sussex Bank, where he made a major contribution to that bank’s loan growth. He is a seasoned banking veteran, having received training in New York City with the former Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company and with Bank of New York. A member of the Mortgage Bankers Association and a Licensed New Jersey Real Estate Broker, Lake is a former Deputy State Director of the National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers and a graduate of the Valley Forge Military Academy.
