Honoring the departed

Approximately 150 spectators gathered at Heaters Pond on the mountain above Ogdensburg Monday morning for a memorial service honoring those who have fallen in military service. The flag, flown at half mast in the service, had been flown in Iraq on November 11, 2008, said a representative of the local VFW. The Ogdensburg School band played several selections.
