Ogdensburg - “Swish, nothing but net.” That slogan was repeated over and over at the Northwest District Elks National Free Throw Contest held in the Ogdensburg School gymnasium Sunday morning. Six Elks lodges out of nine in the district sent representatives to the competition. “Within the Ogdensburg School qualifying for this event was done as part of the physical education classes,” said physical education teacher Earl Hornyak. The competition was fierce with the winner of the boy’s 12-13 division, Robby Lefkowitz of Livingston, sinking 23 out of 25 baskets. The next round is the New Jersey State Contest, Feb. 8, in Woodbridge.
