Horsfield honored with ‘Rose & Scroll Award'

NEWTON - The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners presented Sussex County Chamber of Commerce President Tammie Horsfield with its “Rose & Scroll Award” at its Salute to Women Leaders Award Dinner. The award recognizes a woman who has been a role model with a record of assisting women business owners, said officials. “The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce is very proud to have a leader such as Tammie Horsfield as its president,” said Tom Madsen, chairman of the chamber’s Board of Trustees. “She is an excellent role model who has spent most of her career assisting a variety of business leaders, many of them women.” In accepting her award, Horsfield said, “I have had the pleasure of working with women from all walks of life - from young women in area schools through their business clubs and associations, to women seeking independently owned businesses, to woman looking to grow and expand personally and professionally.” The Sussex County Chamber of Commerce, located in Newton, promotes “quality in business, quality in living” by encouraging a “vibrant business environment and responsible economic growth.” The New Jersey Association of Women Business Owners is the oldest statewide organization in New Jersey with a mission to address the concerns and issues of business ownership by women.
