Illustrious thanks local supporters
To the Editor: The first Illustrious Theatre Company Revel was held on May 25 at the Warwick Valley Winery & Distillery to benefit our “Shakespeare in the Orchard” production of Romeo and Juliet. The good spirit that a charitable event brings and the festive environment of the Revel were a winning combination. Not only was it a great party, but thanks to the generous contributions of local and surrounding area merchants and friends, our production of Romeo and Juliet under the stars in the orchard in July will be magical. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who contributed: Atelier Durante Interior Design, Black Dirt Beauty, The Eclectic Eye, Edenville Country Store, Enduring Memories, John Fish Antiques and Fine Art, Glenwood House Bed & Breakfast, Greetings & Salutations, The Inkwell, The Inn at Stony Creek, Jenna & Co., Mac & Lindy’s, The Mill Creek Boutique, Newhard’s, The Red Shutters, Riehle’s Opticians, Style Counsel, The Tuscan Cafe, Up Country Living, Warwick Valley Feed & Grain and Wildflowers Massage & Spa. Provident Bank, our new bank in Warwick deserves special kudos for its generous grant for this summer’s production. And special thanks to “Appalachian Strings,” the wonderfully talented string quartet from Vernon High School, and to chef Michael DeMartino of The Landmark Inn for providing a feast of delicacies to our guests. Last but not least, thanks to Dr. Joseph Grizzanti, who took a leap of faith with us four years ago by welcoming The Illustrious Theatre Company to his winery. The members of the company are overwhelmed by the support and generosity of the Warwick and Vernon communities. We would have never dreamed four short years ago that so many wonderful people, including the famous author and playwright Ira Levin, would be attending a gala to support our theatre. On behalf of the members of the board and all the actors and staff involved with the company, we thank you! Mary Clifford, Artistic Director The Illustrious Theatre Company
