Homecoming Queen nominees walked onto the field at High Point High School during the halftime show accompanied by their fathers. Last year’s queen Chelsea Bentson and High Point’s Homecoming Queen from 20 years ago, Katie McGee, who is today the traffic and entertainment reporter for “CBS 2 News This Morning,” were ready to crown 2009’s queen. Runner-up was Kayeleigh Mallon and this year’s Homecoming Queen is Alayna Donadio. She plays soccer for High Point and aspires to attend college to study science. At the end of the halftime festivities, all the nominees were driven off the field by classic cars provided by Michael Cecchini of Country Classic Auto Body. Photo by Thomas Moroney
