Lake Neepaulin residents are caring folks

Judge Stanton may have eliminated obligatory dues for the Lake Neepaulin community, but the area continues to function with community spirit. This is due to the efforts of the Friends of Lake Neepaulin, who are not scam artists as some have portrayed; they are giving, caring, hard working people. Here is my story. This winter, I fractured my wrist badly leaving me on disability and unable to drive. They were not only friends and neighbors, they were my heroes. They drove me to the A&P, invited me for dinner, shoveled my walk, drove me to doctor’s appointments. One woman even drove me to work so that I could get off disability and on with my life! Without this assistance, recuperation would have been impossible. I am not the only one to experience such generosity. This community has a spirit that should be cherished. I am truly thankful that I live in Lake Neepaulin and will continue to do everything in my power to keep our lake, which is the focal point of our community. Beth Rini Wantage
