Vernon — Monica McGuire, founder of Vernon-based Designs by Monica, recently spoke about healing with color at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pompton Plains. McGuire was invited by Chilton’s Health & Wellness Program, called New Vitality. She spoke to a group of more than 90 people, who came to learn about color and its effects on a person’s health and well-being. McGuire took the attendees through what she calls a “voyage of self-discovery” by looking at colors that each person feels identifies them and then interpreting what those colors mean, relative to the person’s personality. “Color is something that I live with everyday and I really enjoy helping people identify what colors make them happy and energized,” McGuire said. “It is fascinating the effect that color can have on people and I love opening everyone’s eyes to the possibilities.” For more information about the New Vitality program, visit www.nj.gov/humanservices/cicrf/home/index.html.
