Animals welcome at special church service\

SUSSEX BOROUGH — The Sussex United Methodist Church will hold its annual special worship service to give thanks for the the blessing of creation on Saturday, Aug. 30 at 7 p.m., and Sunday, Aug. 31, at 9:30 a.m.

At these services, all people and their pets (and other reasonably polite animals) are invited to come to the church's outdoor chapel in the rear of the church — located at 15 Bank Street, Sussex — for a special blessing during worship (weather permitting). To make sure everyone gets along, all dogs must be on a leash, and other pets must be securely leashed or caged.

People are encouraged to wear casual attire at the worship service, which will run about an hour or less.
