Area A&P stores to rebrand as Acme

VERNON — The two A&P supermarkets in Vernon and Wantage are in the process of being rebranded to Acme supermarkets.
According to the signage in front of the Vernon store the grand opening will be this Friday.
On Tuesday, two powered lifts rested in the parking lots of both the Vernon A&P on Route 515 and the Wantage store on Route 23. They will soon be used to rebrand the store to an Acme supermarket.
Signs in front of the store gave future customers the details of the reopening. An additional sign informed customers about their prescriptions being transferred to an Acme branded pharmacy.
