Bank names employees of quarter

Oak Ridge — Lakeland Bank honored five employees with the Employee of the Quarter Award for the second quarter of 2012. Neeta Bhatia, Michele Gilchrist, Karen Joy, Kathy Picun, and Kristina Sorensen were presented with the award based on nominations submitted by their colleagues.

Kristina Sorensen, junior BSA analyst, joined the bank in 2005 as a part-time teller in the Sparta office, transferred to Franklin in 2007 and accepted a financial advisor assistant position later that year. She transferred to her current position in January 2011. Sorensen is a resident of Wantage.

Neeta Bhatia, computer operator, joined the bank in 2009 as a part-time teller in the West Caldwell office and transferred to her current position in February 2011. She resides in Montville.

Michele Gilchrist, human resources assistant, started with Lakeland Bank in 1991 and has been a human resource assistant for nearly 21 years. She is a resident of Newfoundland.

Karen Joy, assistant treasurer/branch operations manager, Carey Avenue office, joined the Bank in May 1998 as a customer service representative. She advanced within retail banking and was promoted to assistant branch manager in January 2000. The recipient of several retail sales awards, she was promoted to her current position in March. She resides in West Milford.

Kathy Picun, human resources assistant, started with the bank in 2004. She is a resident of Stillwater.
