As an annual holiday tradition, the Community Choral Society once again performed its winter concert on Sunday, Dec. 8, at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in downtown Vernon.

With a theme of “Sing a Glad Noel” the afternoon’s presentation was well attended and included a sing along with the audience with selections that include Silent Night, Joy to the World, Frosty the Snowman, and Deck the Halls.

There was a surprise visit by Santa Claus who asked for the children to come to the front of the church and join him in song in return for treats. There also were refreshments served at the end of the concert. The choral society is under the direction of Danielle Kastner who was the conductor and Eleanore O’Mara who performed on the piano.
