Submissions for the Vernon Photography Exhibit should be brought to Historical Society headquarters at 293 Route 94, Vernon, on April 4 between the hours of 4-8 p.m.

The exhibit, entitled “Vernon Through the Years,” will feature photography of Vernon Township. Amateur and professional photographers may submit photographs that pertain to Vernon Township, including architectural, landscape, portrait, fashion and style, fine art, still life, and so on. Photographs must be mounted and be a minimum of 8X10 inches in size. They do not need to be framed.

The Vernon Township Historical Society and the Vernon Township High School Photography Department are sponsoring the exhibit, which will be held at the Vernon Senior Citizens Center on April 12 and 13. The exhibit will be open from 5-9 p.m. on April 12 and from 1-5 p.m. on April 13.

The society also is asking photographers to donate one photograph to raise funds in a silent auction. Donations are voluntary; photographers do not need to donate to submit their work for exhibit. There is a maximum submission of five photographs per photographer. Photographs may be black and white, color, hand-colored, digital or chemical. Vintage photographs are accepted, but they must be original works by the person submitting them. Submissions are free of charge. Ribbons will be given for noteworthy photographs.

For information, contact the Vernon Township Historical Society at 973-764-6545 or email at vernonhistoricalsociety@gmail.com.

The deadline for submission is April 4.
