Our Lady of Fatima Church on Breakneck Road in Highland Lakes held its second annual Food Stock and antique car show last Saturday.
In lieu of an entrance fee, attendees were asked to donate a nonperishable food or an item serviceable to the economically disadvantaged. To add to the collection and to make people aware of a silent but the persistent need by many people, signs were posted and volunteers collected donations from passing cars.
Car enthusiasts brought a range of customized, beautiful, and immaculate antique cars that proudly displayed their QQ plates. DJ Nick Cerrato of “DJ Wheels” provided the music, which was an appropriate blend of 50s, 60s and 70s favorites.
