Always popular with the young boys and girls, Elizabeth Neillands of Vernon’s Pond Hollow Stables brought two ponies to the harvest festival and offered pony rides throughout the weekend. The equine shown is named “Mouse” and he previously modeled for photo shoots for Ralph Lauren.

VERNON — Although the weekend got off to a soggy start that left the fields a bit muddy, the second annual Crystal Springs Harvest Festival brought visitors from afar for the two-day event.
Billed as “A Festival of Earthly Delights,” the fair offered the wares and crops of local and area farmers and craftsmen. Hayrides, pony rides and more were available for the visiting children and their families. There also WERE a variety of animals for the kids to touch and examine up close and personal.
