Heaven Hill Farm sets up for Christmas

| 01 Dec 2015 | 02:04

As the lull after pumpkin season has passed, Heaven Hill Farm is now in high gear for the Christmas season.

After visitors have selected the size and type of tree they want, the tree is mounted to a “Litl Shakee” machine that vibrates to remove any loose needles, after which it is passed through a large cylinder that compresses and wraps the trees branches. The tree’s base is then trimmed and workers place it on the new tree owner’s car.

Santa Claus will visit the farm on weekend afternoons through Dec. 13, from noon until 4 p.m. Train rides are free for the children on the half hour, from noon until 4 p.m. every weekend through Dec. 20.

Inside are twinkling lights and animated singing bears and Santa’s wonderland scene and complimentary candy canes will be out by Santa to all the good little children.
