Mountain Creek partners with High Cascade

VERNON — Mountain Creek has partnered with High Cascade to bring the fun, coaching and camp experience found at Mt. Hood’s summer snowboard camp to Vernon this winter.

High Cascade, the world’s only 100 percent snowboard camp and home to the U.S. Snowboarding Team’s summer training program, is teaming up with Mountain Creek’s Terrain Parks for the 2013-14 winter season to develop on- and off-snow programs that will help campers of all ages and abilities progress their freestyle snowboarding skills in a fun and friendly environment.

“We’re working closely with High Cascade to design the HCSC Mini Park to cater to riders of all abilities and provide opportunities for campers to learn new tricks or perfect the ones they already know,” said Hugh Reynolds, director of marketing at Mountain Creek. “Whether you’re new to snowboarding or a seasoned terrain park veteran, we have a High Cascade camp experience that is right for you.”

Campers can choose from a variety of programs, including a four-day or weekend only Team Program, where campers will meet throughout the winter season to ride with their coach and fellow Team riders. Or, if campers can’t commit to a full season of coaching and riding, High Cascade Snowboard Camp at Mountain Creek offers single day, weekend and holiday Drop-In Camps.

On-snow activities are only half of the fun at High Cascade Snowboard Camp at Mountain Creek. A High Cascade Snowboard Camp experience wouldn’t be complete without a supply of “Camp Life” at the HCSC Lodge located inside the South Base Lodge. This ultimate snowboarder’s clubhouse will be the place for campers and friends to hang out, watch videos, demo a new snowboard, catch a workshop, unwind from the hill or ramp up for a skate session in the Red Bull bowl.
