Mountain Creek to offer free skiing to fifth graders

Mountain Creek will offer a free lift ticket to all 108,000 fifth graders in the state.

The only requirement is to show up with a copy of their current report card as proof of age.

“It’s that simple,” resort President Bill Benneyan said. “Winter’s an awesome time to get outside and play, be with friends, and get some great fresh air and excitement. There’s something rejuvenating about a few hours outdoors. If every one of the thousands of fifth-graders took us up on this offer, we’d be thrilled.”

Students who need rental equipment or lessons will get special highly discounted pricing, and there are special packages covering all the skiing, snowboarding and amenities at the resort for the rest of the family as well.

New Jersey fifth-graders should pre-register online for their discounted Learn to Ski or Board Package for just $44.99 (a $99.99 value), which includes a full-day equipment rental with helmet, lift ticket and a 90-minute introductory lesson.

The Fifth Graders Ski Free Program is available anytime this winter with the exception of defined holiday periods. Pre-registration is required for the Learn to Ski or Board Packages. Download the program brochure and register your 5th Grader at www.mountaincreek.com/5thGradersFREE.
