NJ author returns to Sparta Books

SPARTA — Due to an overwhelming response, New Jersey native and author Michael Gabriele will be returning to Sparta Books on Saturday, Dec. 14 at 2 p.m.

Gabriele, author of "History of Diners in New Jersey," recently came to Sparta Books in Sparta last weekend to sign copies of his latest release. His book looks at the history of diners in New Jersey — collected from interviews with owners, patrons and experts. The book is illustrated with more than 75 photos, along with scans of vintage postcards, rare photo prints, technical illustrations and a special eight-page color insert.

At last week's book signing, the book ended up selling out in less than an hour. Sparta Books has asked Gabriele to return on Dec. 12 to sign more copies of his book, which goes for $19.99.
