To the Editor:

We are excited to announce that the Vernon United Methodist Church Food Pantry has moved to a larger room on the lower level and that has enabled us to upgrade our service to our community.

We were also awarded a rant through the Community Food Bank of New Jersey Network Investment initiative, made possible with lead funding from the New Jersey Pandemic Relief Fund and Norwescap.

CFBNJ acknowledges its relationship with Feeding America on an ongoing basis and is proud to partner with the community Food Bank of New Jersey and Norwescap. And that association boils down to our ministry and our service to our community.

Our upgrades included two new refrigerators in our kitchen, allowing space for storing fresh food, and shelving was added to our space in the lower level. The additional shelving has enabled our volunteers to be more efficient as inventory is more accessible. This also created less wait time for recipients.

We remain grateful to our volunteers for their dedication, service, and hard work. Also would like to acknowledge Acme and ShopRite for their ongoing donations of baked goods and generous monetary donations and food drives from the community at large.

Our hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. Walk-ins are welcome, evening hours by appointment.
