Mark Kleindienst, financial consultant with Thrivent Financial, conducted a workshop at Holy Counselor Lutheran church on March 2 called “Parents, Teens and Money Matters."

The workshop was a 50-minute interactive, stewardship-based financial education workshop for parents and young teen ages 11-14. It helped participants better understand stewardship and values so they can make educated choices about how they share, save and spend their money. The workshop got parents and teens talking and provided tools to keep the conversation going after the workshop.

It included a fast-paced game during which teams of participants answered questions and earned points. The workshop was promoted by the Northwest NJ Chapter of Thrivent Financial.
