Prince of Peace Lutheran Church is holding a special train show and toy and food drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 6.
The cost is $2 per person or $5 per family. All proceeds will benefit the good works of the church.
Participants are asked to bring new, unwrapped toys so that all local children will have something under the tree this Christmas, as well as nonperishable food items for Grace’s Food Pantry. Money contributions are also welcome.
Police officers from Vernon, Ogdensburg, Franklin, and Hamburg will be on hand to talk to children and meet others in the community.
There will be HO scale trains on display. In keeping with the event’s railroad theme, representatives from NJ Transit and other railways will be on hand.
HO trains and a collectible train wristwatch will be among the prizes to be raffled off.
Robert Winter is organizing the event. The church is located at 3320 NJ-94 in Hardyston. For more information, call 973-827-5080.
