Pet Adoption League (PAL)

(for cats and dogs / based in Hackettstown)

Ally is a 5-year-old kitty who was left to fend for herself and her kittens, but rescued by a wonderful woman. Some time in her past, she suffered an injury to her eye that caused her to lose most of her sight. Ally enjoys the company of other cats and is quiet and well behaved.

Bunny is a beautiful little Tuxedo cat who can be shy with people she doesn't know, but she is the most affectionate cat ever with those she’s familiar with. She rolls over for belly rubs, talks and loves to be brushed. Bunny is great with other cats and very playful. She loves her little mouse, catnip and any hanging toys. If you’re lucky enough to bring her home, she'll need a window seat, she loves watching the world outside.

Eleventh Hour Rescue
(for cats & dogs / based in Rockaway)

Lance Barnwell is a one year-old Shepherd mix with a beautiful brindle coat. This handsome chap prefers to be out and about socializing with others rather than stuck inside his run. Although a bit shy in the beginning, once he has the opportunity to relax and come out of his shell, he will quickly warm up to any visitors and let his playful side come out. Lance can be seen at the Enhanced Adoption Center inside the PetSmart store at 50 International Drive in Mount Olive.

Izzy is a 2-year-old Terrier mix who was found as a stray by a vet outside her office in Georgia. The vet who found her took her into her home instead of a nearby rescue shelter since she was very pregnant at the time. Within a short period, she delivered her pups and all was fine. The local rescue group adopted out the pups, and now it’s Izzy’s turn. She weighs around 30 pounds and is very friendly. Izzy gets along with other dogs, is housebroken, leash trained and sits on command. She will make a wonderful family companion, and is also spayed and fully vetted.

One Step Closer Animal Rescue (OSCAR)

(for cats & dogs / based in Rockaway)

Chance was one of three dogs saved from being euthanized when an overcrowded local shelter called OSCAR and asked for help. He is an adult Black Lab mix, about 5 to 6 years old and is very sweet. Chance knows basic commands such as sit, lay down and shake hands. He is neutered, house-trained and up-to-date on shots.

Dorothy is a sweet girl who came from the south. She had had a litter of puppies that were all placed. Now spayed, this Shepherd/Plott Hound mix is between 2 to 4 years old and weighs about 60 pounds. She has the most beautiful brindle coat and is quite the people dog. She has a sweet, laid back personality and loves head rubs. Dorothy would do best in a home where he can be spoiled rotten. She clicks with certain dogs, but not all other dogs, she seems to prefer larger dogs more.
