Sparta. On Jan. 20, Sparta Deputy Mayor David Smith performed the swearing in ceremony for the newly elected 2021 officers and trustees of the Sparta Ambulance Squad. The new officers are Captain Ashley Darnsteadt, First Lieutenant Allyson Wright, Second Lieutenant Ben Griffin, and Sergeant Max Merlino. The newly elected trustees are Brad Erickson, Miriam Ungar, and Ben Wright.
