The Sussex Borough Council selected Steven Donati, P.E., and/or Sabine Watons, P.E. of the firm CP Engineers & Architecture were selected to be the borough's water/sewer engineer during 2014.

Unlike the previous Council meeting in which Mayor Jonathan Rose's pick for engineer — Gerald G. Gardner, P.E., of the firm Houser Engineering, LLC, — was rejected by the council, hardly any discussion took place about the choice.

CP Engineers were selected 4-1, with Councilwoman Linda Masson voting against CP Engineers, which also oversees the water/sewer aspect of the Route 23 realignment project for the state.
