Sussex Christian school holds harvest festival

Bluegrass band "Sonrise Mountain Revival" made up of the following members: Gisella Maldonado, Laura Kortright & Sarah DeGennaro on the fiddle, Dick Malmstrom on the banjo, Rich Ferguson on the mandolin, Jeff Holcomb & Mark Kelly on the guitar, Tal Tanis on the bass, Dave DeGennaro on percussion and Megan Carlson, Lee Watts & Greg Gaffney on vocals) captured performing last Saturday at the Sussex Christian School's 38th annual Harvest Festival. Their first song was "I Can See Clearly Now" followed by "Shady Grove".

AUGUSTA — The Sussex Christian School once again hosted its annual Harvest Festival at the Sussex County Fairgrounds Saturday, Oct. 1.
Following tradition, the weather was rainy this year as it was last. Still, that didn't stop the festivities. The day featured the following: Craft & Antique Show (10 am until 4 pm), Chicken BBQ (3 pm until 7 pm), Children's Games, Country Store/Bake Sale, Lawn & Garden Tractor Pull, Children's Pedal Tractor Pull, Silent Auction, Oral Auction and Health Fair Screenings. Bluegrass band "Sonrise Mountain Revival" performed outdoors while a vendor fair went on simultaneously indoors.
