Sussex-Wantage approves family math, reading nights

SUSSEX — The Sussex-Wantage Regional School District approved funding for family math and reading nights at its Feb. 26 Board of Education.

The board approved a total of $40 per hour be paid to six teachers for two nights, with each night lasting four hours. Three of the teachers will work at the C.E. Lawrence Elementary School while the other three will work at the Wantage School.

During fall board meetings last year, the administration planned to improve student achievement through more parental involvement at family reading and math nights.

The funding for these nights is now available.
