Boy Scout Troop 912 in Vernon celebrated the achievements of their tenth eagle scout, Dominic D'Arco, at Walnut Ridge today.
Dominic's eagle project was constructing the path around the new flagpoles at that school with his troop, friends and family. Principal Rosemary Gebhardt was among those offering encouraging words about the scouting program and of Dominic's accomplishments.
The ceremony emphasized the mission of the Boy Scouts and of Troop 912 with several segments highlighting the ideals and goals concerning character development, citizenship, and leadership. Several past Eagle Scouts were on hand to welcome Dominic into the "Troop 912 legacy."
